Dear readers,
let me introduce you to Delphine, my older sister who lives in Strasbourg, France. Better than a portrait of her, i give you her living space which she shares with her lovely daughter Line and two spoiled cats. She and i are very similar in a number of ways, and even more when it comes to decorating:
1. she is never completely satisfied with how her apartment looks.
2. she is always on the hunt for classic pieces that will refine her style.
3. she makes decorative mistakes once in a while and correct them immediately! otherwise she loses sleep over it > Same here <
By constantly trying to change and improve her home, she tends to forget that she has achieved an effortless look, very representative of the European lifestyle: edited & simple but with great character and bare chic. The highlight of the apartment was the flower ornated balcony with a garden view... priceless spot for morning coffee or late evening chats.
Il n'était pas question de revenir de mon séjour en France sans rendre hommage à ma soeur Delphine qui nous a merveilleusement acceuillis, à la francaise, dans son magnifique appartement Strasbourgeois.
Elle ne semble pas toujours réaliser qu'elle a achevé avec brio un style simple et minimaliste tout en étant chic et personalisé. Pas évident quand on est perfectionniste (sur ce, on se ressemble...) et qu'on aspire sans fin à transformer & améliorer son espace de vie. En tous cas moi je trouve son cocon très réussi. Il répresente pour moi la parfaite alchimie de la vie à l'européene.
